Thank
you for your interest in Scheewe Publications, it is always a pleasure
to look at new work. In creating our guidelines, we have worked to keep
the process non-intimidating, uncomplicated, and clear. We are always
happy to answer any questions you may have about sending your work in
to be reviewed for publication.
|
When submitting potential book material, it is necessary to include the following:
|
|
- A
minimum of 15 photographs of your artwork. Since we cannot see your
original art, your pictures should represent clearly. Professional
photos are not required. The more photos you send the better. Do not
sell yourself short when submitting images. Please do not send any
artwork; photos only.
|
|
- Include
one lesson plan for one of your painted projects. This would include: a
description of the palette, brushes, supplies, instructions,
preparation, base coating, detailing and finishing necessary to
complete the project.
|
|
- Include
one pattern from your projects. Please use black ink on white paper.
Remember a clean, well detailed pattern is the foundation for a great
painting.
|
|
- Tell us about yourself. A brief history of your painting background.
|
|
Please consider the following when submitting material for a potential book:
|
|
- When
submitting material for a book, all of your designs must be original.
Do not send photos from projects you have painted in another teacher's
class. The projects you submit must be your own design. Due to
copyright laws, we do not publish any material that has been
copyrighted previously.
|
|
- Please
do not send material that has already been printed and sold as a
packet. We would be glad to look at any packet in reference to the type
of work you do, however, we do not print any material that has been
reproduced or sold.
|
|
If
you have any questions, please call, write, or e-mail us. We will do
our best to help you. Also, make a copy of your work before you send
it. If you would like your material returned, please include a S.A.S.E.
Thank you again for your interest.
