Susan Scheewe Brown has been sharing her love of painting for over 30 years. As a child, she was introduced to painting by her Aunt May, an accomplished watercolorist and a teacher of china painting. Susan continued to develop a passion for creating art that has carried her through years of teaching and sharing. Inspiring first-time artists to have the courage and confidence to continue painting is one of Susan's goals as a artist, teacher and publisher. Susan has enjoyed a long and successful relationship with public television by making painting instruction available for people from all walks of life, nationally and internationally, to experience. Susan lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband Stan Brown who owns Stan Brown Arts & Crafts. Susan Scheewe Publications is fortunate to have both of Susan's talented daughters, Camille and Kimberly, working with them. Sue's mother, Birdie, still comes to work and shares her wonderful, kind personality.
